Columbus's after-work crowd splits two ways: the Short North, the High Street strip of Italian rooms, taverns, and cocktail lounges — or Downtown, the Broad-and-4th grid of liquor bars and brewery taprooms. Same street, different night. Here is how their happy hours compare.
Short North: the High Street strip
Martini Modern Italian (445 N High St) posts Monday–Friday 4–6 at the bar: half-off wines and house spirits with cocktails 8–11 and antipasti 11–15. The Pearl Short North (641 N High St) posts Monday–Friday 4–6 PM in the tavern: half-off selected drinks, snacks, starters, and pub burgers plus $3 oysters raw, baked or fried. Arch City Tavern (862 N High St) posts Monday–Friday 3–6PM with 1/2 off all drafts, wine by the glass and more, plus $10 burgers all day Monday. The Short North is the district for printed structure: every stop posts a band or a fraction.
Downtown: the liquor bar and the taproom
The Keep Kitchen & Liquor Bar (50 W Broad St) posts Daily Happy Hour Monday–Friday 4–6pm with no dollars on that line — then adds Monday Martini Club $12 martinis in all vodka and gin styles, and Wednesday Midweek Uncorked half off select glasses and bottles of wine from 4 PM to close. Wolf's Ridge Brewing Taproom (215 N 4th St) posts Happy Hour every day from open to 6 PM with $4 614 Lager, $8 cocktails and wines, a $10 liter beer stein, and food $5–$12. Downtown is the district for themed nights: martinis Monday, wine Wednesday, lager every day.
